Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and grow the platform security engineering group, including hiring, onboarding, development, performance, prioritization, and coordination of contractor and vendor engineers.
  • •Own the platform security roadmap and delivery across hardware root of trust, secure/measured boot, OS and kernel hardening, and host-side attestation evidence to production gates.
  • •Own the firmware supply chain posture, including SBOMs and reference integrity manifests, authenticated updates, rollback protection, and vendor relationships to ship fixes.
  • •Drive platform risk assessments and make evidence-based go/no-go recommendations, partnering with infrastructure, fleet, compute, and detection/response teams to land controls in production.
  • •Run the team’s operating rhythm: design reviews, threat models, incident participation for platform-layer issues, and clear written status updates to leadership.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in systems security, with at least 5 years focused on firmware, hardware, or OS-level security.
  • •5+ years as a people manager of security or systems engineers, including hiring and developing senior/staff engineers.
  • •Ability to go from architecture to implementation for secure boot, measured boot, TPM and roots of trust, attestation protocols (SPDM, DICE, remote attestation), UEFI/BMC firmware, and Linux kernel/OS hardening.
  • •Owned a technical roadmap end to end, including prioritization trade-offs when security, performance, and delivery timelines conflict.
  • •Direct experience working with silicon vendors, OEMs, or cloud and bare-metal providers on security requirements and remediation.
