Key Responsibilities

  • •Effectively deliver assigned Culinary Arts CTE course content online using K12 curriculum and state/industry learning standards.
  • •Support students and parents with placement, online school setup, and curriculum/instructional issues; use learning tools to guide individualized learning.
  • •Monitor student progress in the K12 learning management system, generate formal reports, and alert administrators of concerns about progress and attendance.
  • •Contact students regularly via email or phone, respond to inquiries within the appropriate time frame, and participate in weekly teacher conference calls and staff meetings.
  • •Prepare students for state assessments, administer state assessments and serve as proctors for site-based proctored exams, and organize orientations/training and other student/family activities (including limited travel).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of successful teacher experience within the virtual setting (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Arizona residency required.
  • •Certificates and licenses: Arizona Standard CTE Family Consumer Sciences (or Standard Specialized CTE Family and Consumer Sciences) and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • •Ability to clear required background checks.
  • •Strong subject-matter knowledge and written/verbal communication; skilled with Microsoft Office 365 and online tools.
