Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and document fiber, network, audio, video, and RF cabling.
  • •Install, test, and troubleshoot audio, video, and RF equipment.
  • •Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings).
  • •Install and document horizontal, backbone, and other cables, including labeling and connectors.
  • •Investigate, diagnose, correct, and document malfunctions using measuring instruments and planning documents/schematics.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber optics and copper cabling (RF, Ethernet), plus network/telephony and audio/video systems.
  • •Ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage cables and fiber (twisted pair, coaxial, solid/stranded; single-mode and multi-mode).
  • •Strong knowledge of industry standards including BICSI, NEC, and TIA/EIA, and cable pathways such as conduit, fire penetrations, and cable trays.
  • •Must have a valid driver's license and be able to work in elevated heights/tight spaces and extreme outdoor environments.
