Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures, including conducting Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) field visits.
  • •Support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and tailings management standards (TSM Level AAA and GISTM).
  • •Lead and coordinate internal resources and external engineering consultants, providing technical oversight to complete work safely and effectively.
  • •Develop, update, and maintain tailings management documentation, including OMS manuals and Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans.
  • •Support project execution across geotechnical engineering, dam safety, surveillance/instrumentation, and tailings governance, including planning budgets, schedules, and forecasts.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 122,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Geological/Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
  • •Minimum 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, dam safety, and tailings management.
  • •Demonstrated experience managing engineering consultants and coordinating multidisciplinary technical resources.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with engineering and asset management software such as Maximo, AutoCAD, and Muk3D.
