Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise the client on cost strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals/bids, and recommend outcomes; chair bid interviews and manage appointments.
  • •Develop and review project estimates, present estimates and value engineering recommendations, and conduct risk assessments using benchmark data.
  • •Establish reporting schedules, review/present cost reports and forecasts, maintain a commercial risk register, and run periodic meetings with project teams and vendors.
  • •Manage cost control activities including payment assessments, contractor entitlements, change order recommendations, and dispute prevention/resolution for contractual matters.
  • •Oversee invoicing, final accounting/post-contract audits and account closeouts, conduct post-contract reviews to capture lessons learned, and develop handover procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large-sized construction projects.
  • •Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
