Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive and pay out cash and handle negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • •Set up, close, and balance the teller station; assist with balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machines.
  • •Assist customers with inquiries in person or by telephone and maintain a neat, well-stocked teller area.
  • •Record sales of monetary instruments and apply holds and check-cashing decisions using sound judgment.
  • •Cross-sell bank products and services and complete required BSA/AML and other compliance training as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Equivalent of four years high school or GED, with 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively with customers and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations.
  • •Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers, with 10-key capability.
  • •Cash handling experience in a business environment.
  • •Ability to use common sense to carry out simple multi-step instructions in standardized situations with limited variables.
