Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a team of software engineers delivering high-quality, safety-critical ATC and avionics applications.
  • •Set technical direction for development, integration, and sustainment of large operational systems.
  • •Oversee modernization of complex legacy code bases, including DevSecOps adoption, automation, pipelines, and containerization/orchestration.
  • •Ensure software artifacts meet aerospace standards and internal RTX engineering processes, supporting complex issue investigation and resolution.
  • •Manage team capacity and performance, and support program-level planning including cost estimation, risk management, and technical execution reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a STEM degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

  • •Demonstrated experience communicating professionally in English (verbal and written).
  • •Leadership experience in embedded or safety-critical software development in aerospace/ATC/regulatory environments is preferred.
  • •Strong background in OOP and compiled languages (C, C++, Java), plus DevSecOps and modernization of legacy code bases is preferred.
