Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform Utility Classification duties and additional Technician 1 work across service construction and repair crews, including leak orders and meter orders.
  • •Inspect meter manifolds and inside service piping for leaks, make detector tests, and execute leak complaints and related actions.
  • •Operate equipment such as a trencher and tractor compressor; install and adjust domestic and commercial appliances and related components.
  • •Install service lines, regulators, small meter manifolds, range lines, and make adjustments on space heating and gas portions of gas-fired HVAC systems.
  • •Lead not more than three employees on certain construction/survey or repair work, keep accurate records, and brace/barricade trenches safely while working outdoors.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 24 - 47.88 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • •Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (eight points or less).
  • •Pass DOT Drug Test, DOT Physical, respirator fit test, required testing, and required training; complete a background check.
  • •Possess or obtain a valid operators and Group A Commercial Driver’s License (CDLA) with Air Brake Endorsement (or Temporary Permit during pre-hire steps).
  • •Be certified to wear self-contained breathing apparatus and be able to accept odd shifts, on-call, emergency assignments, and overtime; lift and move equipment (~95 lbs) and work in excavations safely.
