Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee safe operation, reliability, and maintenance of campus mechanical infrastructure including utility plants, air handling systems, compressed air, process exhaust, and industrial piping networks.
  • •Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for critical mechanical assets (e.g., vibration analysis, oil/fluid analysis, dynamic balancing, water treatment, filter management).
  • •Provide engineering review and on-site support for construction project lifecycle activities (design review, submittals, RFIs, punch walks) to meet codes, energy standards, and design intent.
  • •Lead commissioning, startup, test and balance (TAB), and acceptance testing for critical mechanical equipment and BAS/BMS.
  • •Perform heating/cooling load studies, airflow/psychrometric analysis, and utility capacity planning; optimize BAS/BMS sequences; coordinate utilities compliance and external contractors during outages and capital projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in mechanical engineering, facilities engineering, or building systems commissioning.
  • •Operate and troubleshoot central utility plants and industrial HVAC systems, including compressed air and process piping.
  • •Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices plus fluid dynamics/thermodynamics/psychrometrics and testing standards.
  • •Experience commissioning critical mechanical systems, air/hydronic balancing, and Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS).
  • •Knowledge of relevant codes/standards (e.g., IMC, IPC, ASHRAE 90.1/62.1/55, ASME, OSHA) and ability to read mechanical drawings/P&IDs and SoO. Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information.
