Key Responsibilities

  • •Support embedding the DACs Risk Framework across the Group by translating policy into practical guidance, minimum control standards, and artefacts.
  • •Proactively identify and assess top and emerging DACs risks using horizon scanning and impact analysis, recommending control and operating model changes to stay within risk appetite.
  • •Own and execute risk assessments for new or materially changed digital asset products, defining due diligence, risk outcomes, and post-launch monitoring.
  • •Coordinate and chair DACs risk working groups and governance to ensure clear decisions, actions, and follow-through for senior stakeholders.
  • •Coordinate regulatory and audit engagement for DACs risk with Compliance and 1LOD, ensuring issues are root-caused, remediated, and closed on time.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong understanding of DACs risk management within HSBC’s strategic and commercial context, and ability to operate within a Three Lines risk management model.
  • •Solid knowledge of DACs, including the regulatory landscape and enabling technologies such as DLT, and/or DAC product functionality.
  • •Sound understanding of a financial institution’s business model, products, and key risk drivers.
