Key Responsibilities

  • •Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and technical manuals.
  • •Run manual machining operations on compressor/turbine rotors and components using machine tools and drawings/specifications.
  • •Start, monitor, and adjust machine operations to identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • •Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on mills, lathes, jig borers, and grinders.
  • •Perform rotor handling, unstacking/stacking, and blading/tip grinding activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Experience with rotor manual machining, particularly on gas turbine rotor machinery.
  • •Intermediate-level skills in Milling, Runouts, Turning, and Grinding on manual lathes and VTLs.
  • •Experience supporting Rotor Shop and Machine Shop operations for steam/gas rotors, compressor cases/components, aero components, and valve rack repairs.
  • •Experience performing gas turbine rotor and component repairs on HSPT and GE10 equipment, including Frame 3/5/6/7.
