Key Responsibilities

  • •Interact with clients day-to-day and serve as lead consultant and primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • •Prepare applications, specifications, and marketing strategies for new and renewal business, based on carrier quotes and renewal comparisons.
  • •Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
  • •Maintain accurate exposure information and follow up to ensure policies, endorsements, certificates, and related documents are processed per client requests.
  • •Build and maintain relationships through regular contact and client visits, and keep clients informed on industry trends and regulatory issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically 5+ years of Commercial Lines experience, including recent tenure with a retail insurance brokerage or independent agency.
  • •Experience managing a book of middle-market accounts with estimated revenue minimum of $1 million.
  • •Experience servicing construction-related clients (general contractors, trade contractors, developers, or similar construction risks).
  • •In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance coverages including General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Property, Builders Risk, and Contractor's Equipment.
  • •P&C Insurance License required; CIC, CPCU, or ARM preferred.
