Key Responsibilities

  • •Sensor Fusion & State Estimation: implement algorithms ingesting data from onboard sensors (radar, optical, etc.) and fuse into a single accurate world model
  • •Collaborative Autonomy: design protocols for multiple robots to share tracking data and coordinate search patterns as a cohesive swarm
  • •Onboard Deployment: develop highly optimized, low-latency code for Linux-based compute modules on multi-domain unmanned systems
  • •Modern Tooling: leverage Nix for deterministic builds; work with C++, Rust, and Python
  • •Performance & Real-World Validation: ship production software to real robots and test on hardware during demonstrations and field tests

Key Requirements

  • •Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • •Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • •Hardware-Adjacent & Onboard Systems: experience with software that runs onboard physical systems on Linux; bonus for experience with I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet
  • •Strong Math/Algorithmic Foundation: localization, Kalman filtering, state estimation, and tracking
  • •Polyglot Coder: production-grade C++ or Rust, rapid prototyping in Python, familiarity with Nix
