Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote requirements management practices and support design requirement creation, ensuring JDM correctly interprets and implements requirements throughout development.
  • •Collaborate with Dyson teams and JDM to identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies; plan and monitor activities and report progress to stakeholders.
  • •Oversee mechanical design solution development by JDM teams, including electrical part integration; drive design reviews and issue management to meet quality standards.
  • •Evaluate build and test processes, confirming effectiveness/efficiency and ensuring test planning, execution, and documentation meet established standards.
  • •Assess design maturity and guide future design cycles; review and approve change requests and part/deviation requests; drive tools and process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Strong understanding of product development methodology, including scoping, decomposing problems, planning work, and eliminating non-value-adding activities.
  • •Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, and Risk Management in product development.
  • •Track record of developing robust engineering solutions from concept to market launch, including manufacturing and assembly techniques (e.g., plastic injection molding, metal stamping, die-casting, rubber parts) and knowledge of motor and pump.
  • •Practical knowledge of 3D CAD, PLM systems, and analysis packages, with strong leadership and communication skills in English and Chinese.
