Key Responsibilities

  • •Handle escalated or complex local datacenter incidents and identify technical root causes across hardware, cabling, rack, power, connectivity, storage, backup, networking, and security components.
  • •Coordinate local service restoration actions and align with remote operations, global provider teams, customer contacts, facility/security teams, third parties, architecture teams, and hardware manufacturers.
  • •Perform onsite technical assessments and analyses for physical infrastructure issues such as hardware faults, recurring disruptions, temperature/airflow deviations, power/PDU issues, faulty cable routes, port problems, fiber/LWL issues, and incomplete documentation.
  • •Plan, coordinate, and support standard and non-standard changes plus firmware/patch/lifecycle measures, including dependency checks, implementation, rollback planning, documentation, and follow-up verification.
  • •Support build-and-operate activities for managed compute/storage/backup and managed network & security, including rack & stack, hardware refresh, diagnostics, component replacement coordination, decommissioning, data wipe, and DR support.

Key Requirements

  • •Multi-year experience troubleshooting and providing onsite datacenter/network/system/hardware/storage/backup support within a mid-to-large ICT organization.
  • •Hands-on experience with physical datacenter infrastructure (e.g., rack & stack, cabling, labeling, hardware replacement/remote hands, break/fix, vendor escort) and documentation.
  • •Strong knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optics in datacenter environments (wished: experience with OTDR/BER measurements).
  • •Experience handling escalated tickets, performing technical analysis, supporting change activities, and contributing to root-cause-focused problem management with handover to remote operations/L3/vendors/architecture/customer teams.
  • •Proficiency with ITSM tools, SOPs/runbooks, change approvals, maintenance windows, security policies, and maintaining CMDB/asset/rack/cable/serial-number documentation.
