Job Summary

Lead the US operations planning process for multiple products in Intermediates and Derivatives, partnering with colleagues in the US and Asia to align supply, demand, and inventory targets. Drive monthly S&OP and related IBP steps, optimize run-rates and regional supply-demand balance, and identify margin improvement opportunities through scenario analysis. Translate optimization outputs into business requirements and provide supporting economics for turnaround, optimization initiatives, and capex projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the US operations planning process for several products, including joint global planning with colleagues in the US and Asia.
•Manage operating plans covering demand forecasting, production and supply planning/optimization, distribution planning, and inventory targeting.
•Run monthly S&OP processes and support the Supply Review step of the I&D IBP process in close collaboration with Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and (as relevant) Trading.
•Monitor performance versus plan and recommend improvements across short-term planning and the 5-year planning horizon.
•Provide margin improvement opportunities via analysis of value drivers and constraints, including supporting economics for turnaround planning, optimization initiatives, and capex projects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required (Chemical Engineering preferred).
•Preference for APICS certification.
•Minimum of 6 years’ experience in manufacturing, business planning and analysis, supply chain, or a commercial role.
•Broad knowledge of the chemical industry business, manufacturing operations, and economics.
•Experience using analytical and decision-making tools and methods such as PIMMS/Spiral/OMP, SAP IBP, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
