Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct boots-on safety oversight by identifying and correcting workplace hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • •Monitor employee exposure to job and chemical hazards under OSHA permissible exposure limits and assist in implementing site-specific safety policies.
  • •Create or assist with job hazard analysis and PPE assessments, and perform safety surveys to ensure safe work practices and proper PPE use.
  • •Manage hazardous waste and hazardous materials handling, including labeling, storage, inspections, and maintaining hazardous waste drum logs and usage logs.
  • •Perform stormwater inspections, support spill response/prevention (including SPCC implementation), and assist EHS engineers with accident/mishap investigations as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing aspects of an environmental, health, and safety program.
  • •Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
  • •Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • •Not a remote or hybrid position; must be local to the Cape Canaveral, FL area or willing to relocate.
