Key Responsibilities

•Drive the architecture and design of powertrain test systems, ensuring seamless integration between high-voltage bus components, including engines, batteries (with onboard BMS), DC-to-DC converters, and actuators.
•Own the end-to-end electrical and mechanical design of test enclosures and high-voltage harness systems required for flight-representative validation.
•Interpret Interface Control Documents and board-level schematics to resolve integration challenges while coordinating with SMEs for alignment.
•Lead the evaluation and testing of powertrain components, managing supply chain and logistics to ensure hardware availability for the test program.
•Integrate and commission high-voltage testbed systems (battery emulators, dynamometers), develop test system automation, and establish protocols for data integrity and health monitoring.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 144,000 - 188,000 annually

Key Requirements

•B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace) or Physics; hands-on problem solving over credentials.
•Systems Thinking: proven ability to integrate and debug complex, safety-critical electrical systems; HV powertrains experience ideal.
•Strong problem solving with knowledge of battery and dynamometer operation, EMI mitigation, thermal management, and load carrying test equipment.
•End-to-End Technical Responsibility: experience designing and building electrical test equipment, including power switching and HV considerations.
•Test to Learn: hands-on testing with data acquisition and software automation (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB); rigorous data standardization.
