Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in installation and qualification of systems and support troubleshooting of day-to-day manufacturing issues.
  • •Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements, including assigning causes to yield excursions.
  • •Set up and maintain gauges; ensure processes run on target per the Process Control Plan and respond to SPC alarms to bring processes back into control.
  • •Execute planned process experiments and collect, analyze, and report experimental data and daily tool/product performance data.
  • •Develop/update internal documentation (drawings, SOPs, process specifications), interface with internal associates and suppliers as needed, and provide training to production associates.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED required (with qualification criteria including an Associates degree in a technical discipline).
  • •2+ years of machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function (or other First Solar technical experience criteria listed).
  • •Safety-first mindset and ability to adhere to safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
  • •General electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge with the ability to trouble shoot and solve problems on the manufacturing line.
  • •Good written and oral communications skills in English and the ability to handle both administrative and technical tasks.
