Job Summary

Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing systems, troubleshooting daily production issues and identifying improvements to increase throughput, yield, and product performance. Execute experiments, collect and analyze manufacturing and tool performance data, respond to SPC process control alarms, and maintain process readiness. Set up and maintain gauges, develop and update documentation, interface with internal teams and suppliers, and provide training to production associates while following safety and housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in installation and qualification of systems and support troubleshooting of day-to-day manufacturing issues.
•Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements, including assigning causes to yield excursions.
•Set up and maintain gauges; ensure processes run on target per the Process Control Plan and respond to SPC alarms to bring processes back into control.
•Execute planned process experiments and collect, analyze, and report experimental data and daily tool/product performance data.
•Develop/update internal documentation (drawings, SOPs, process specifications), interface with internal associates and suppliers as needed, and provide training to production associates.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 18.56 - 25.98 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED required (with qualification criteria including an Associates degree in a technical discipline).
•2+ years of machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function (or other First Solar technical experience criteria listed).
•Safety-first mindset and ability to adhere to safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
•General electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge with the ability to trouble shoot and solve problems on the manufacturing line.
•Good written and oral communications skills in English and the ability to handle both administrative and technical tasks.
