Job Summary

Design building automation and electronic comfort control systems using direct digital controls for a variety of building types. Review contract documents (plans, specs, estimates, submittals) and create installation, submittal, as-built, and transition-to-service drawings. Develop advanced sequences of operations and generate O&M manuals while supporting surveys, equipment submittal integration, and field handoff. May also support cost estimates, wiring/programming, commissioning, graphic development, and customer satisfaction through troubleshooting and corrective action.

Key Responsibilities

•Build controls design using direct digital controls for electronic comfort control and automation systems across multiple building types.
•Review contract documents (mechanical plans, specifications, estimates, equipment submittals) and incorporate them into automation system design.
•Create installation drawings, submittal drawings, as-built drawings, and manage transition to service.
•Develop advanced sequences of operations that meet project requirements and produce Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
•Support field transition, review equipment submittals, and may assist with cost estimates, wiring/programming, electrical terminations, commissioning, graphic development, testing, and startup.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 94,366.66 - 132,054.99 annually

Key Requirements

•Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or Engineering Technology (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•5+ years of HVAC industry experience in project management or estimating roles (or an equivalent combination).
•Familiarity with operation and design of HVAC Systems, Building Automation Systems, and/or Temperature Controls.
•Familiarity with new construction and renovation/retrofit, performance contracting, and service project management.
•Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office; experience with a drafting/design program; understanding of industry integration protocols; knowledge of IT infrastructure and network architecture.
