Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build scalable, reliable systems for business onboarding and verification across Europe and the UK.
  • •Build and improve systems that verify businesses, owners, directors, and associated parties.
  • •Automate information collection, verification, and decision-making to reduce onboarding time and manual work.
  • •Develop flexible onboarding journeys and monitoring/controls for financial-crime and compliance risks with minimal friction.
  • •Own projects end to end and collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, and other engineering teams to deliver and measure impact.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with Java or another JVM-based language, including Spring framework, plus deep understanding of JDBC and database internals.
  • •Experience with CI/CD pipelines and distributed and concurrent systems.
  • •Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimisation and schema design.
  • •Machine learning basics are a plus, including data pipelines, feature engineering, and familiarity with ML systems in production.
  • •You write testable code and believe in Test-Driven Development, with strong communication and ability to work independently end to end.
