Key Responsibilities

•Oversee daily operations of the Food Distribution Center and supervise hourly and seasonal supervisory staff, providing direction, performance reviews, and coaching to the team.
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding food quality, safety, labor, employment, and Union guidelines, as well as company policies.
•Monitor staff schedules, daily operational plans, and sanitation checklists; ensure workforce is trained and proficient at assigned tasks.
•Maintain adherence to Union contracts regarding work conditions, discipline, and shift coverage; adjust operations to budget and manage weekly schedules.
•Lead workforce planning, reward and recognition planning, employee events, and employee satisfaction action planning; build internal relationships to exceed employee expectations.
•Uphold a safe, clean, professional work environment and act as Environmental Health & Safety Team representative for the employees.

Key Requirements

•High School diploma or GED required.
•Minimum 2 years management & logistics/warehousing experience with multiple large high-volume food service operations and managing a team of 10+ employees.
•Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and nights in varying weather conditions. Please note that this role is third shift.
•Associate or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or business administration preferred.
•Culinary knowledge & formal training preferred.
