Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce the Group’s IFRS annual and half-year listed financial statements and annual report.
  • •Lead end-to-end year-end and half-year external audit and review processes and prepare/present Audit Committee papers.
  • •Oversee production and filing of subsidiary statutory accounts across UK and international entities.
  • •Own the Group’s cashflow forecasting process, providing insight into liquidity, capital allocation, and capital structure for CFO/Board decisions.
  • •Act as the Group’s primary technical accounting authority on complex judgements and new standards, and lead Finance’s contribution to the material controls framework under Provision 29.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience in a listed business and a consistent record of delivering to deadline.
  • •Extensive IFRS expertise and strong technical accounting grounding for complex areas including multi-currency consolidations, share based payments, EPS, impairment, revenue recognition, leases, and business combinations.
  • •Experience researching and implementing new accounting or reporting standards.
  • •Analytical and thorough when reviewing financial information, able to spot errors and anomalies that don’t add up.
  • •Proven people management and excellent project management experience, comfortable delegating and developing others.
