Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow safety guidelines to protect self, coworkers, plant equipment, and the public.
  • •Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain control systems and instrumentation for boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
  • •Read and interpret P&IDs, control wiring diagrams (CWDs), manuals, blueprints, and control system drawings to diagnose and repair systems and interlocks.
  • •Use test equipment and hand tools to troubleshoot and maintain plant devices and systems.
  • •Maintain accurate written/electronic records (work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests) and support contractor instrumentation/controls/electrical work as the point of contact.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •5 years’ experience in electronics and pneumatics and instrumentation, or an associate’s degree in electrical technology.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain pneumatic, electronic, and digital controllers, transmitters, and instruments (temperature, pressure, level).
  • •Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control System (DCS), including control logic (SAMA, Ladder, Boolean, PID).
  • •Ability to follow Tag Out/Lock Out procedures and communicate clearly about equipment condition and job status.
