Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and embed the refreshed BCDR management approach by connecting business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and critical third-party resilience into a Group framework.
  • •Oversee the BCDR framework cycle: refresh business impact assessments, coordinate plan reviews and lessons learned, track remediation actions, and support annual testing, training, and exercising.
  • •Align recovery objectives, dependencies, plans, and testing activity across critical business services with clear roles and responsibilities in a federated ownership model.
  • •Own the annual Group Insurance cycle, managing renewal governance, and serving as the key point of contact for insurance queries, claims, and project support.
  • •Line manage and mentor a Senior Risk Analyst, provide advice and training on resilience and controls, and drive opportunities for AI, data analytics, and automation in insurance and BCDR activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, operational resilience, or similar roles, with at least 2-3 years leading or shaping a business continuity programme.
  • •Strong risk and controls awareness, with experience in complex and less mature operating environments and analytical problem-solving.
  • •Technical understanding of insurance programme management, including renewal cycles, claims handling, and insurer/broker engagement.
  • •Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to tailor practical governance, controls, and resilience expectations to commercial realities.
  • •Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including leading thinking on insurance, resilience, governance, risk management, and internal control best practice in e-commerce retail.
