Job Summary

Support faculty and students in the Computer Information Science program by maintaining laboratories and workshops. Install, demonstrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment and facilities, set up labs for experiments, and ensure safety and housekeeping procedures are followed. Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and equipment tracking systems, support teaching during lab sessions, help develop teaching materials, and assist with student project planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide timely lab support to faculty, staff, and students, including setting up labs for experiments.
•Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, equipment manuals, and maintenance logs; observe and reinforce lab safety and housekeeping procedures.
•Track borrowed equipment and tools; manage inventory levels for consumable materials and supplies.
•Receive, install, and maintain lab equipment and supplies, assist with ordering, and interact with suppliers about purchases.
•Provide teaching assistance during laboratory sessions, support development/maintenance of teaching materials, and assist with student project design and execution.

Key Requirements

•A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant discipline is required.
•A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
•At least 3 years of progressive hands-on experience in hardware and software support is preferred.
•Practical experience with PC and OS support troubleshooting and implementation is required.
•Experience in a complex networking environment with Cisco equipment is preferred.
