Job Summary

Lead tax strategy and execution for Create Music Group’s high-volume global acquisitions, catalog investments, and strategic transactions. Own domestic and international M&A tax, international tax planning, transaction modeling, tax risk assessment, and governance of external advisors while supporting forecasts, scenario analysis, and international expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead domestic and international tax aspects of M&A transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, refinancings, and strategic investments.
•Partner with M&A and legal teams on transaction modeling, due diligence, structuring, and post-transaction integration.
•Analyze and advise on international tax implications across global operations, IP/royalty flows, transfer pricing, and cross-border licensing.
•Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for international expansion, entity optimization, and global business operations.
•Oversee external tax advisors and legal counsel across jurisdictions; monitor tax law changes and support executive leadership with forecasts, scenario analysis, and recommendations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 220,000 - 250,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related); CPA, JD, and/or a Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred.
•12–15 years of progressive tax experience, including substantial M&A tax and international tax structuring.
•Experience as a senior tax leader at a PE-backed portfolio company with direct involvement in sponsor-led acquisitions and liquidity events strongly preferred.
•Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal and international tax principles, including cross-border structuring, transfer pricing, and entity planning.
•Ability to translate complex tax concepts into practical business recommendations, with strong analytical/modeling and executive stakeholder management skills.
