Job Summary

Support HSBC’s customer due diligence (KYC) process by guiding RM/CSE/RO teams to identify and document required information. Execute and review negative media alerts, and perform sanctions and PEP screening. Compare customer documentation against system profiles, validate the quality of due diligence data during onboarding and periodic reviews, and collaborate with a CDD Advisor when additional guidance is needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Guide RM/CSE/RO teams to identify and document information required for KYC due diligence policies and processes.
•Execute and review negative media alerts, and perform sanctions and PEP screening.
•Check for discrepancies between customer documentation and information in the system profile.
•Review and validate the quality of due diligence and KYC information during onboarding and periodic reviews.
•Work with the CDD Advisor for additional guidance on CDD policy and complete assigned tasks to a high quality standard.

Key Requirements

•2 to 5 years of experience with graduation or post-graduation from a recognized university.
•Good understanding of operational risk and controls, ideally gained from front line and/or risk roles.
•Knowledge of the regulatory environment and Private Banking is an advantage.
•Strong execution and analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
•Fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English.
