Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles and construction/heavy equipment, plus customer assets.
  • •Operate machinery at times during installation to test system performance.
  • •Remove and replace ignition systems without custom keypad/controller, then integrate keypad-to-telematics communications.
  • •Handle installation scenarios from power/ignition/ground setups to complex wiring harness work when accessing CAN networks for vehicles and equipment.
  • •Troubleshoot and resolve problems by gathering/analyzing information and developing alternative solutions; travel to client sites and yards as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
  • •Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools; able to work with small components and hardware.
  • •Experience in a related field such as electrician, HVAC technician, or car audio installer (telematics training provided).
  • •Own tools; clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • •Open to traveling within a 250-mile radius for up to a week at a time, and able to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, and lift 25+ lb.
