Key Responsibilities

•Sanctions Program Management: Design, implement, and continuously enhance the enterprise-wide sanctions compliance program; ensure alignment with OFAC regulations and U.S. regulatory expectations; maintain policies and controls.
•USD Clearing & Correspondent Banking Oversight: Oversee sanctions risk in USD clearing and correspondent banking; provide subject matter expertise; ensure controls around cross-border payments and trade finance.
•Sanctions Screening Operations: Manage end-to-end sanctions screening (payments, customers, trade transactions); oversee alerts, escalations, investigations, and decision-making; optimize systems to reduce false positives.
•Advisory & Risk Assessment: Provide sanctions advisory to business units and senior management; conduct risk assessments for new clients, products, geographies, and transactions; advise on complex scenarios.
•Regulatory Engagement & Governance: Act as primary regulator contact for sanctions matters; manage exams, inquiries, and remediation; prepare reporting for boards and senior committees; oversee investigations and governance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 225,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA, or Master’s in relevant field) preferred.
•10-15 years of experience in financial crime compliance with significant focus on sanctions.
•Extensive experience in USD clearing, correspondent banking, or cross-border payments.
•Proven track record of managing sanctions programs within U.S. regulated financial institutions.
•Experience interacting with U.S. regulators (e.g., OFAC, Federal Reserve, NYDFS).
