Key Responsibilities

  • •Define, implement, and maintain target-state business and technology architecture for the Alternatives business.
  • •Translate business strategy into architectural roadmaps and solution designs aligned to HSBC Group standards.
  • •Ensure architecture direction supports global Asset Management objectives and Alternatives growth plans.
  • •Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and efficiency across the Alternatives operating model (front-to-back).
  • •Influence senior management by articulating architectural vision and linking designs to business value and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong track record in Asset Management/Alternatives with deep understanding of private markets (private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds).
  • •Background in Business Architecture or Solutions Architecture within asset or investment management.
  • •Solid data architecture capability, including data lineage, data flows, integration patterns, and data governance.
  • •Hands-on experience leading Alternatives platforms (e.g., Allvue, eFront, Arcesium, SimCorp, BlackRock Aladdin, Investran, or similar).
  • •Experience with emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, blockchain) applied to an Alternatives context.
