Job Summary

Own ByteDance’s global network incident response and operational stability, covering backbone, data centers, public cloud, Edge/CDN, and network gateways. Handle day-to-day operations for the Non-CN global network and lead troubleshooting, mitigation, and service restoration during failures. Key Responsibilities

•Act as a key engineer for global network incident response and operational stability across backbone, data centers, public cloud, Edge/CDN, and network gateways.
•Support day-to-day operations of the Non-CN global network infrastructure and lead troubleshooting, mitigation, and service restoration during network failures.
•Partner with the 24*7 NOC team as a second-line (L2) operations engineer to maintain continuous global network operations across time zones.
•Improve operational tooling, monitoring platforms, and automation systems by collaborating with network architecture, deployment, and software engineering teams.
•Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to diagnose and resolve network issues, run post-incident root cause analysis (RCA), and drive remediation to prevent recurrence.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
•2+ years of experience in network operations, network support, or network engineering.
•Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, and MPLS-related technologies.
•Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network incidents under ambiguity, with timely response during critical outages.
•Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams.
