Job Summary

Own system safety/HSI execution for the program—integrating safety strategy and requirements into the product across the system lifecycle. Support the Integrated Master Schedule, lead artifact reviews with the Lead System Safety Engineer, and coordinate multi-IPT efforts to ensure hazards are mitigated and commitments are met. Produce technical reports and presentations, engage customers and program leadership, and deliver solutions that enable successful development and test.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute the program safety strategy with system safety/HSI features integrated in compliance with contract and funding milestones.
•Support program scheduling by integrating system safety tasks into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
•Engage system safety and portfolio engineering leadership for guidance and artifact review, including customer reviews.
•Ensure program leadership understands safety requirements, hazards, and planned mitigations; drive alignment across multi-IPT meetings.
•Own technical solutions and collaborate across IPTs to make overall product development and test successful, meeting internal/external commitments.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
•Experience with risk assessment concepts.
•Experience creating technical reports, technical writing and/or creating presentations.
•Active/transferable DoD security clearance (preferred).
•Experience performing MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses (preferred).
