Job Summary

Lead the delivery of structural and civil design schemes from inception through handover for a growing Building Structures team. Provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary projects, develop innovative and sustainable structural solutions, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and specialist consultants. Take part in tender bids and business development, manage commercial positions including fees, resolve technical issues, and mentor junior team members working toward Chartership.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide project management, technical leadership, and delivery of structural schemes from inception through handover to the client.
•Develop innovative and sustainable structural designs for a range of challenging UK and international multi-disciplinary projects.
•Take a key technical leadership role through concept and detailed design, coordinating with architects, engineers, and specialist consultants.
•Participate in and/or lead tender bids and business development opportunities; agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
•Mentor and develop junior team members working toward their Chartership, while ensuring technical issues and risks are resolved timely and cost-effectively.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record delivering structural design work on major, challenging multi-disciplinary building projects, especially concept and project inception stages.
•Project management and technical delivery leadership experience for medium to large schemes.
•Significant experience managing the commercial and technical aspects of projects using appropriate business tools.
•Significant experience with team management responsibilities, including line management and day-to-day operations.
•Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline and Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE), with solid structural engineering design experience and knowledge of national codes and standards.
