Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems including brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, HVAC, and transmissions.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete repair order documentation (including pictures and DOT forms) and conduct required pre-/post-trip safety checks while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combination such as 5 years experience).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current valid DOT medical card with required remaining validity).
  • •Hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and be able to obtain/maintain their Driver Qualification File; candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
