Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate, inspect, and monitor power plant equipment to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
  • •Use HMIs/panels to regulate turbines, generators, and HRSGs; maintain steam temperature/pressure, feedwater, and fuel supply.
  • •Execute startup, shutdown, load control, and emergency operations to safeguard station equipment and electric service.
  • •Troubleshoot operational problems using instrument readings; maintain accurate CRO/shift logs and respond to dispatcher orders.
  • •Perform sampling and routine lab tests/analysis, operate systems to record operational data, and follow safety/compliance procedures including LOTO and clearance processes.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Valid state driver’s license.
  • •Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Plant Operator (or equivalent) in an operating/generating plant with proven multi-tasking in a control room.
  • •Ability to complete the Control Room Operator qualification card for progression.
  • •Knowledge of steam power-plant systems and ability to read/interpet blueprints, schematics, procedures, and technical manuals.
