  • •Regularly review claims for coverage and adequate reserves, answer claims questions, and advise on further action based on claim correspondence.
  • •Resolve coverage and unusual questions within designated authority and conduct related research as necessary.
  • •Handle claim complaints and inquiries; assist the Claims Manager and may act on the manager’s behalf as needed.
  • •Receive and direct processing of legal papers related to claims and support trial preparation, including attending pre-trial functions and trials as necessary.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent) with six years of claims-related experience, or an associate degree with four years, or a bachelor’s degree with two years.
  • •Appropriate license(s) required by applicable state(s), including ability to secure and maintain dual or multiple licenses as business needs require.
  • •Valid driver’s license required.
  • •Experience using estimating software preferred.
  • •Experience in a leadership role preferred, plus completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.
