Job Summary

Senior DCS Engineer to design, implement, simulate and test control and graphics for power plant DCS/PLC systems on Emerson’s Ovation platform. Responsibilities include site data collection, I/O database prep, DRM/FAT involvement, and on-site commissioning, with close collaboration across project teams and contractors to ensure safe, compliant system performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Site walk-downs for data collection and I/O database preparation, database partitioning from Third Party DCS / PLC systems
•Design and implementation of power plant controls and protection systems
•Process simulation & testing
•Design Review Meeting (DRM), Pre-FAT, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & clean-up after FAT
•Verification and functional testing of I/O interfaces to field devices and supervision of control system installation, commissioning and start-up
•Compliance with internal and customer safety and security requirements and working with contractors / sub-contractors
•Encourage smooth partnership and communication with all project partners (internal project teams, customer, and on-site contractors)

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation & Control (4 years)
•5–10 years of experience in power plant process, project engineering and commissioning, control tuning
•Process knowledge of HRSG, Boiler and BOP control systems
•Experience with design, implementation, sequencing and protection philosophies for sub-critical/super-critical fossil-fired power plants and CC plants
•Proficiency with ISA and SAMA logic symbols, P&IDs, and related electrical/mechanical/hydraulic schematics
