Job Summary

Safely operate a ready-mix concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload concrete to customer sites in and around West Virginia and the surrounding region. Work with a dispatcher/plant supervisor, follow delivery tickets and instructions, maintain vehicle and drum cleanliness, complete pre-/post-trip inspections, and handle customer payments and basic customer inquiries. Ensure compliance with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safety practices and use required PPE.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely operate a ready-mix concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload concrete to customer standard satisfaction.
•Maintain clean and orderly work area and vehicle, including rinsing the drum before and after deliveries.
•Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use required PPE.
•Coordinate with the dispatcher or plant supervisor, review delivery tickets for special instructions, and obtain required signatures.
•Handle basic customer transactions and inquiries (collect money, record receipts, read/write ticket details, provide basic product/concrete instruction).

Key Requirements

•Maintain a valid minimum Class B CDL (or complete training and pass the CDL exam to obtain licensure).
•Acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state-issued commercial driver license.
•Operate safely and efficiently, delivering ready-mixed concrete to construction sites per dispatch instructions and applicable laws.
•Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use PPE as directed.
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance or repair issues as needed.
