Key Responsibilities

  • •Set technical direction for backend development and design scalable, reliable web application systems.
  • •Serve as a developer coach/multiplier by setting standards, mentoring others, and raising team programming maturity.
  • •Bring a backend voice to cross-team planning and help ensure cohesive cross-functional execution.
  • •Architect and implement complex applications, including ML techniques applied to large volumes of data.
  • •Adopt agentic engineering practices in day-to-day work, directing and reviewing AI coding agents while maintaining quality.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of backend programming experience (full-stack experience desired).
  • •Meaningful experience with Java or Scala; Rust highly desired.
  • •Experience designing, building, and operating distributed cloud systems at scale with high throughput and availability.
  • •Ability to write Technical Design Documents (TDDs) that enable staff peers and product leads to understand and trust the design.
  • •Hands-on experience with agentic engineering tools and workflows in real production settings.
