Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with Phase I Intensive Cultural Resources Surveys, including pedestrian survey and excavation/recording shovel tests.
  • •Recover, identify, and document archaeological artifacts and other materials.
  • •Use archaeological field forms to record archaeological data, including artifact counts/types and soil characteristics (Munsell color and textures).
  • •Work effectively as part of a team and exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology (or closely related) with archaeological field school or similar field experience.
  • •0-2 years of archaeological or anthropology related experience.
  • •Physically able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions and follow instructions.
  • •Competent interpersonal and communication skills for both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
  • •Ability to work independently under general supervision and as part of a team; basic proficiency with business writing and office/communication software.
