Key Responsibilities

  • •Regularly inspect facility operations to ensure safe work practices, proper PPE use, and operational machine/process guards.
  • •Investigate and facilitate investigations of accidents and near-miss occurrences, identify trends/causes, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • •Develop safety programs and incentives with management as appropriate.
  • •Conduct new hire training and provide employee training for safe operation of machinery and equipment.
  • •Maintain OSHA 300 logs and other required reports; prepare regular and special reports as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school graduate.
  • •Minimum two to four years of experience in safety or woodworking operations.
  • •Working knowledge of computer/business software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • •Minimum certification in First Aid and CPR and working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • •Successful completion of OSHA 10 certification.
