Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support settlement negotiations in complex product liability, mass tort, toxic tort, and consumer product litigation matters.
  • •Develop settlement structures and eligibility criteria.
  • •Serve as primary legal and operations lead to ensure settlements are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with legal requirements.
  • •Work with plaintiffs’ counsel to negotiate, draft, review, finalize settlement documents, and resolve claimant disputes or appeals.
  • •Manage teams (e.g., nurse paralegals and other attorneys) and oversee settlement implementation, claims administration, workflow, quality assurance, and related data analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • •Must be active and in good standing with the local state Bar, or eligible to waive in.
  • •Minimum 8 years of significant experience practicing law, focused on mass torts in the drug, medical device, and/or consumer products areas (including at least 3 years of law-firm litigation).
  • •Experience resolving claims, preferably involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or consumer health/consumer-facing products.
  • •Familiarity with matter management and claims administration systems (e.g., Case Manager Pro) and AI-enabled claim review platforms, plus experience drafting/reviewing/negotiating settlement documents.
