Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and oversee implementation and administration of required safety training including OSHA, Federal Motor Carrier, DOT-related employee safety/health training, and other applicable programs (e.g., forklift, Smith System, respiratory fit test).
  • •Stay involved in safety team meetings and leadership training to improve safety initiative effectiveness; support and develop safety-related positions and resources for employees.
  • •Monitor federal, state, and local public safety regulations and communicate updates to management and applicable employees.
  • •Serve as a safety resource for programs such as fire department training and RP1162 Emergency Responder and Contractor Awareness training.
  • •Represent the division during OSHA and other governmental safety inspections and audits, and conduct field safety audits, mock drills, incident investigations, and record keeping with recommendations and coaching.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, Business, or Occupational Health or related field plus five years of related safety experience.
  • •Valid driver's license in accordance with company standards.
  • •Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence, motivate, and build consensus across internal and external partners.
  • •Advanced knowledge of software applications to create complex documents, reports, and graphics (preferred Microsoft Office experience).
  • •Demonstrated ability to administer OSHA regulations and compliance directives.
