Job Summary

Support behavioral health care delivery by providing supervised clinical and administrative services to enhance the well-being, readiness, and functioning of personnel. Under licensed provider oversight, assist with intake procedures, therapeutic activities, counseling, data tracking, and coordination across behavioral health programs. Perform intake interviews and psychological/psychophysiological testing support as needed, observe and report behavior patterns, lead therapy sessions, and maintain case documentation and attendance/statistical records across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide supervised behavioral health interventions under licensed provider oversight, including intake support, treatment support, therapeutic activities, and coordination across behavioral health programs.
•Conduct or assist with intake procedures and counsel psychiatric, drug, and alcohol clients under supervision of credentialed providers.
•Observe clients to detect behavior patterns and report observations to licensed behavioral health staff.
•Lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions as part of specific therapeutic procedures under guidance of a licensed mental health professional.
•Maintain attendance rosters and statistical data, manipulate and present data using off-the-shelf software, and prepare open/closed case reports for required handling of client medical records.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a psychiatric technician.
•Associate degree or commensurate training for a psychiatric technician/mental health program assistant (education may be met by military or comparable training).
•Under a licensed provider, be able to conduct intakes, assist with care/treatment, and counsel clients with personal, behavioral, or psychological problems.
•Be trained to intervene and, when required, restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal clients by verbal or physical means.
•Ability to obtain applicable clearance; clearance must currently be Top Secret.
