Key Responsibilities

  • •Create and follow design standards for application design artifacts and documentation.
  • •Track design artifacts throughout the SDLC and maintain the eMedNY Project Life Cycle Checklist.
  • •Provide effort and duration estimates for the analysis and design phases of the SDLC.
  • •Support design review activities including test plans, post-implementation verification artifacts, and Technical Design Document materials.
  • •Assist production support, resolve issues, perform assigned research, and oversee project implementations and follow-ups.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •8+ years of experience in a programming language (COBOL, Java, CICS, DB2) with mainframe application development and/or design experience.
  • •Experience with COBOL or a modern programming language, plus IBM Customer Information Control System (CICS).
  • •Strong SQL skills including Query Management Facility (QMF).
  • •Experience with Job Control Language (JCL) on z/OS and z/OS mainframe utilities (e.g., IEBGENER, IEFBR14, SYNCSORT), and Systems Integration Testing (SIT) with related documentation.
