Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, clean, and prepare datasets for computational modeling using Python and NLP preprocessing (e.g., stop word removal, stemming, lemmatization, tokenization).
  • •Perform NLP feature engineering (e.g., TF-IDF, word2vec, GloVe, FastText) and select appropriate evaluation protocols and modeling approaches.
  • •Develop and apply classification, regression, neural networks/deep learning, and NLP techniques including supervised/unsupervised learning and forecasting as needed.
  • •Validate model outputs by investigating, reporting, and justifying model results to ensure they meet business and organizational challenges.
  • •Present and visualize modeling insights, and coordinate and maintain user stories.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree required, with a PhD preferred in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • •4+ years using SAS, R, or Python for NLP use cases such as document summarization, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and/or topic modeling.
  • •Experience developing scalable, production-ready NLP solutions with sci-kit learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Spark NLP.
  • •Hands-on with transformer-based NLP models (e.g., BERT, GPT-J, RoBERTa, T5) and transformer architectures; experience with GenAI/prompt engineering is a plus.
  • •Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public trust security clearance.
