Job Summary

Lead cost management for the Eastern Green Link 4 (EGL4) HVDC joint venture, establishing and improving cost management standards, reporting frameworks, and financial controls. Own month-end reporting, forecasting, budget performance reviews, cash flow management, and value of work done reporting, while partnering with project management, commercial, regulation, treasury, and finance stakeholders. Provide financial guidance, manage cost breakdown structures, and proactively identify and resolve cost-related risks and issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead development and continuous improvement of cost management standards, processes, and reporting across the joint venture to support decision-making.
•Oversee month-end reporting, cost forecasting, budget performance reviews, and cash flow management, providing financial guidance to project leadership and key stakeholders.
•Maintain oversight of project performance against budgets and regulatory requirements across ScottishPower and National Grid teams.
•Manage value of work done reporting, intercompany invoicing, cash calls, cost breakdown structures, and forecasting activities.
•Identify risks, resolve cost-related issues, and support statutory and management accounting requirements.

Key Requirements

•Qualified accountant, or equivalent significant experience in a major project, infrastructure, or project delivery environment.

•Strong accounting, analytical, and commercial skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•Experience working with SAP and financial management systems to produce and analyze complex cost reports.
•Ability to engage senior stakeholders across multiple organisations and deliver high-quality outputs to demanding timescales.
