Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, direct, and coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams to deliver rail engineering projects.
  • •Manage client and stakeholder relationships to achieve desired project outcomes.

  • •Lead development and management of client requirements and assurance outputs (e.g., assumptions and departures).
  • •Coordinate integrated design reviews and work with Project and Design Managers to ensure technical delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •Track record delivering multi-disciplinary rail projects as an Engineering Manager (or Assistant Engineering Manager / Design Manager) across light rail or heavy rail.
  • •Railway engineering design specialism in areas such as track & civil engineering, electrification & power, or signalling & telecommunications.
  • •Experience across the full project lifecycle from initial feasibility through detailed design and implementation.
  • •Strong knowledge of CSM, CDM, and health and safety regulations, including applying “safe by design”.
  • •Chartered or incorporated registration with a relevant professional engineering institution (or working towards it).
