Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop comprehensive project plans and construction schedules to meet contract milestones and client expectations.
  • •Manage project budgets, forecast costs, control expenditures, and track financial performance including invoices and change orders.
  • •Lead, mentor, and motivate the project team while fostering a safety-first culture and accountability.
  • •Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate subcontracts, and coordinate with quality control/assurance to ensure work meets specifications and schedules.
  • •Handle contract administration and closeout, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress payments, final inspections, punch lists, and as-built documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (field operation experience may be credited).
  • •Minimum of 15 years of civil construction industry experience, including at least 5 years as a Project Manager/Segment Manager/Area Manager on heavy civil projects.
  • •Proven ability to manage heavy civil construction projects start to finish, including familiarity with UDOT (or other DOT) procedures, specifications, and standards.
  • •Proficiency with construction management software, including project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project), project management platforms (e.g., HCSS, Bid2Win or similar), and strong MS Office skills.
  • •Experience with Alternative Delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, CMAR, Progressive Design-Build) and responsibility for documentation, estimating support, contract compliance, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
